Temperature Control Unit Repair
Trillium has broken the mold of traditional chiller and heat exchange repair. Instead of simply “fixing” broken units, Trillium has developed proprietary, data-based repair scopes of work specific to each make and model. This approach serves to both fix the current issue with your unit, but also perform preventative maintenance to avoid the next preventable failure from costing you downtime. If you are truly interested in “chiller up-time”, you can rely on Trillium to deliver it.
Evaluation Process
Trillium will quickly evaluate your temperature control unit to verify the reported symptom that led to it being sent for repair. Then we will identify any additional issues that need be addressed immediately.
Repair Process
After evaluation, Trillium will perform a thorough service of each of the following sub-systems:
- Refrigeration Sub-System (Chillers Only): Trillium will properly recover any existing refrigerant and perform the necessary parts replacements within the refrigeration section of the unit. This includes items such as filter-driers, valves, compressors and other components. Upon completion, we will evacuate the system, perform a helium leak check and recharge the system with the appropriate refrigerant.
- Fluid Circulation Subsystem: Trillium will drain and flush the fluid circulation system and then make any necessary repairs such as pump and valve rebuild or replacements. We then pressurize the system with helium and sniff for leaks. Following this, the unit will be charged with fluid in preparation for test.
- Electrical/Electronic Subsystem: Trillium will perform an electrical safety check on your unit and proactively replace high failure rate items such as contactors, relays and overloads. We will also ensure any communication functions are fully operational, and also calibrate any on board temperature and resistivity monitoring devices.
Final Test
Trillium will perform a through final test of your unit to ensure the system is performing as new. Time to temperature, set point maintenance, communication check and many other criteria are measured. Your unit will be returned with our final test report and ready for installation at your facility.
